When transaction details are submitted by a merchant to ZOOZ, we pass these details to the merchant's acquirer; the acquirer passes them on to cardholder's issuing institution. The cardholder's issuing institution validates the transmitted details and ultimately decides whether to approve or decline the transaction. Some issuing institutions check CVV, ID, and cardholder name; others don't.
If a transaction was approved, this decision was made by the cardholder's card issuing institution. Issuing institutions do not provide merchants (or payment platforms) information regarding credit cards decline and approval reasons. If the merchant or cardholder believes the transaction was wrongly approved, the cardholder can ask their issuing institution why the transaction was approved despite the incorrect details transmitted.
