Whenever a payment is initiated it is created in the "initialized" status.
An "initialized" payment will remain in this status until a successful authorization or charge is performed.
This means that as long as there are no successful authorizations or charges for a payment, the payment will remain in "initialized" status.
The initialized status holds true even in scenarios when there are multiple failed authorization or charge attempts for a single payment.
